I would like to introduce myself, my name is Terri and the photo you see here is of me and my grand daughter Hailey on Mother’s Day. I have two grand babies, who are the apple of my eye.
Let me tell you a bit about me. I was married young and have three kids who I am very proud of (aren’t all parents?) Hubby and I both came from broken homes and we made the best of our lives together, which will be 31 years this month (June 2010). We have developed a deep, strong love for each other through good times and bad and through that we have three of the best kids ever! They are strong, moral and have a deep love for family and friends.
This is my daughter Nikki and her youngest, Kira Rose.
My boys are in a rock band and they love to play hard rock bordering on metal called Rear View Destroyer or RVD so remember that name because I have no doubt they will make it big!
We are your average blue collar workers. While my kids were growing up, I ran a State registered Day Care from my home and hubby was a Diesel Mechanic. I now work in a nursing home and although it is very satisfying to be able to help those who can’t help themselves, it is very scary also knowing that could be me unable to help myself later down the road. So at almost 50, I decided we were gonna live a little. Our kids were grown, we’re happy with our lives and now it was time do some things for us.
So I had two weeks vacation. Hubby wanted to go to Florida as health issues were a concern for him and the cold weather here in PA was getting to him. Then we looked at each other and said the hell with it, we may as well go all they way and drive to Key West, the most southern point of the USA, right! Well, this blog is about our drive to Key West and what we learned about taking a vacation there. I hope you enjoy the videos as I had fun making them and by our mistakes, which we made a few, I hope you can find loads of info here to help you when you decide to take the trip yourself!
As for me and hubby, we love to ride motorcycle, road trips, bonfires and beer, family and friends, being kind to someone who needs a boost or a dollar to get them through, playing with our German Shepherd and living life the best we can. That’s who we are and I’m sure we’re not much different than you. Enjoy the blog, I so enjoyed writing and let me just tell you that if I can create a wonderful blog so easily, you can too. About whatever your passion is, it can be put into the written word.
Here’s what I used to learn to blog at my ripe old age:
